Background: Dr. Galka received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1978 from Michigan State University, with Honors. Her own veterinary practice was opened in 1982 and successful service provided to the animal caregivers of Tuscola County for the next 15 years. More recently, Dr. Galka's interest became focused on alternative therapies to better ensure the wellness of her patients. The full-service hospital was sold and an outpatient wellness center established with emphasis on preventative medicine and proper nutrition for increased health benefit to the patients.
NOTE: All the information in the medical info handouts is strictly based on my opinions and experience, and is in no way to be taken as advice being given regarding medical care of your companion animals. Please do thorough research on matters of health concern and then discuss issues with your own veterinarian accordingly.
There is no single medical protocol that fits every animal. Each being is an individual, and all matters of health must be tailored to the individual, whether regarding diet, vaccine schedules or specific treatment for various weaknesses in the physical body.
Please keep this in mind when studying about your animal's health concerns.
